Section 4 - Corporation Members
Minimum requirements to become a member
The minimum requirements to become a Member here at NorteSul Virtual are:
- Minimum age of 14 years old.
- Agree with this official document of the Corporation and all of its contents.
- Have a copy of the following flight simulators installed in their computer: FSX, P3D, MSFS or X-Plane 11/12.
- Complete the first flight within 20 days after the being hired date.
- Complete at least two (2) flights per month.
- Have an active email address.
Hiring Process
As part of the hiring process, all members must complete and pass the entrance examination before applying for a job here at NorteSul Virtual. After this process is done, the HR Department will review this form and proceed with hiring the new pilot.
- The forms will be reviewed within 48 hours after submission.
- After passing the hiring process, pilots will have 20 days to complete their first flight.
The HR Department may or may not hire new pilots always observing the time frame stipulated by the Board of Directors.
The flights completed within the trial period will be valid for the current month.
Transferred Hours
Pilots hired by NorteSul Virtual will have the privilege of transferring up to 150 hours of flight time, from VATSIM or another VA, according to their choice made in the recruitment form. They must provide their respective VID, total hours flown and their account link at one of the previously mentioned networks, and the HR Department will check the validity of the information provided, and confirmed the veracity of the information will add the hours transferred in accordance with official transfer hours rules here at NorteSul Virtual Airlines. In the event that the pilot has not provided this information in his/her hiring process, there will be no more than 72 hours to send this information to HR via email to [email protected]. Past the 72 hours tolerance, zero (0) hours will be transferred to the pilot. Note that the time transferred from VATSIM are cumulative to the next rank depending on how many hours were transferred according to the official rules mentioned above.
Inactive Pilots and rehiring
All pilots should fly at least twice a month here at NorteSul Virtual. Failure to fulfill this determination will put the pilot in a period of leave absence notice and after receiving the notification he/she shall have until the 10th day of the month following the notification to complete their monthly flights respectively. If there is no justification by the pilot to HR sent via email, the pilot will be fired immediately for abandonment of function, without any possibility of revision. The same goes for new pilots hired who fail to fly within their trial period.
The pilots fired for good cause (behavior, inactivity or resignation); can only be rehired with the consent of the CEO, after listening to the opinion of the Human Resources Director.
The pilots that asked for absence of leave of any nature and have it granted, when contracted back by the HR Director, after the CEO’s sign off, will receive the same hours and corresponding Rank that they had at the time of leaving from our Corporation.
All flights must be verified monthly by the managers of each Corporation’s HUB. The same will send warning letters to the faulty pilots to meet the minimum flights requirement here at NorteSul Virtual.
Inactive pilots shall not send another recruitment form. They must send an email to the HR Department at [email protected] to have their active status restored.
The pilot may be rehired up to a maximum of three (3) times. After this, either by behavior, inactivity or resignation, the pilot will be banned permanently from the Corporation and cannot return.
Absence
Every pilot must be a member of NorteSul Virtual for at least three (3) months or (90) days to be entitled to:
Premium Absence
Is the type of license granted to those members who for reasons of any kind, such as, health, study, travel, work, but not only, are unable to fulfill their duties here at NorteSul Virtual. Bearing in mind that this license is a privilege and not a right, the pilot can send an email to the HR Department at [email protected] which will examine the request and must ensure that this absence is no longer than 180 days at a time. The pilot must send the start and end days of this leave of his/her functions, as well as the reason, and the HR will grant it or not according to our rules and regulations.
Military Absence
Designed here at NorteSul Virtual to attend those pilots who, at the age of 18, in accordance with Brazilian laws, were called to serve the nation in the military. We at NorteSul Virtual, in gratitude to those who faithfully decided to enroll the military, will grant the military absence to our pilots, for no more than 365 days, counting from the date of admission of the recruits and not that exam date of convocation. The pilot must send an email with their military credentials to [email protected]. Those pilots, whose absence was granted by the HR Director, if caught in a lie will be banned permanently from the Corporation without further notice and right to review its condition.
Pilot Reporting Standards (PIREPS)
All PIREPS must be within the following specifications:
- Landing rate within -650 ft/min.
- Refueling is not allowed in the air
- output specified airport arrival at the airport specified
- use of correct aircraft (permitted according to rank)
- use of correct route (direct routes will not be allowed)
- speed time is forbidden
We at NorteSul virtual, looking for a closer experience of real life as possible for our pilots, recommend to all members to fly on IVAO or VATSIM networks and add to the Remarks "nortesulvirtual.com". If a pilot declares emergency landing and switches route to another airport other than that specified in the original flight plan, must write "emergency landing declared: switched to ... (airport and emergency reason)".
Members of other Virtual Airlines
We at NorteSul Virtual understand that we can't meet all the needs of our members and the events for which they wish to participate in their virtual aviation career. Therefore, any member may be part of another organization, without problems, provided that he complies with the minimum requirements of this Organization. Needless to say, our members will not be allowed to hold any staff position here at NorteSul Virtual if they already hold a staff position in another virtual organization unless specific approval obtained from the CEO of NorteSul Virtual which may or may not take the decision to a vote in the Assembly depending on the situation.

Vatsim / POSCON Rules
All NorteSul Virtual pilots, when they fly on VATSIM or POSCONS networks must comply with the rules of the respective networks mentioned in its full, demonstrating respect and netiquette to other pilots who are flying in the same online network, taking the name of NorteSul Virtual to the highest levels of respect at the virtual aviation community. We encourage all our pilots who do not have an account with the virtual aviation networks mentioned above and would like to have a high realism experience to sign up for free at the links below:

HUB Transfer
If any pilot wishes to transfer from one hub to another, he/she must formalize his/her request by sending an email to the human resources department at [email protected]. The Human Resources Department along with the Hub Manager will approve or deny such transfer always with discretion. Any request for transfer must follow the following criteria:
- Have at least 20 hours of flight time in the hub that such pilot has his/her domicile established in.
- Be in this Hub for at least thirty days (30) minimum
- Be a member of NorteSul Virtual for at least (30) days
Note that all the above requirements are mandatory for the transfer to take effect after analysis by the Human Resources Department. Special cases should be examined by the CEO and COO respectively.
Quitting - Voluntary Leaving
The pilot who wishes, should fill in the form of Resignation on the NorteSul Virtual web page specifying the reasons why the same wishes to quit his/her job. The Department of Human Resources shall examine the request and a formal letter of resignation may or may not be sent by the HR Director whenever it seems necessary. It is at the discretion of the Human Resources Department to ask whether or not the pilot should stay and serve a leaving notice period which shall not be extended beyond the last day of the month that the request for resignation was filed by the HR.
